A Greeting from our Pastor
Thanks for stopping by the Community Bible Church website. As I write this greeting, it seems to me there are many reasons why a person might stop by our website.
- Maybe you did a Google search of the word “Bible” and stumbled across our site.
- Maybe you know one of our members and you’re just curious about CBC.
- Maybe you’re looking for a church in the Lawrence area.
Whatever the reason, I hope you find our site helpful in some way. CBC is a family of families and we desire to love and serve the people of Lawrence. Why? Because we are so grateful to Jesus Christ for what He has done for us (read more). By loving and serving others, we believe we can reflect Him to our world, and our purpose in life is to bring Him glory.
We would love to meet you face to face. We invite you to join us at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday for our weekly worship service. I’m confident the people of CBC will welcome you and make you feel right at home. We take our worship very seriously, but the atmosphere is casual. Our worship is a blend of the best of contemporary worship music alongside the best from the past.
We take the Bible very seriously. We believe it is literally from God Himself. So, each week I preach the Bible with the goal of discovering first exactly what God has to say to us. Then we consider how God wants us to live. How we should think differently. Believe differently. Live differently as a result of what the Bible really says.
If there is some way we could be helpful to you or serve you or your family, please contact us. I invite you to take a look at our About Us page now to find out more about CBC.
Again, thanks for stopping by.
