We value world missions

Jesus Christ told His first disciples “you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). The early church obeyed by evangelizing strategic cities, establishing and strengthening local churches, then developing leaders and entrusting the church to those leaders (Acts 13-14). We are instructed to “conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity” (Colossians 4:5).

Our dream is to become established to the point of being able to send out and support leaders from our body to plant new churches in strategic areas around the world.

Therefore, the people of CBC will reach out in missions in the following ways:

  • We will pray for God to raise up workers (Matthew 9:38), to provide open doors of opportunity (Colossians 4:3), boldness (Acts 4:29,31), to cause the message to spread with great success (2 Thessalonians 3:1), to protect His workers from those who oppose the gospel of Jesus Christ (2 Thessalonians 3:2) and to open hearts that people might be saved (Acts 16:14; 1 Timothy 2:1-4).
  • We will seek to develop leaders here in the context of our local church body whom God has gifted for the expansion of the gospel with the intent of commending them as ministers of the gospel and sending them out to preach the gospel, plant and establish churches and raise up leaders; the primary means for doing this will be our partnership with BILD International’s Antioch School of Church Planting and Leadership Development.
  • We will seek to financially support well-equipped leaders and ministries that are involved in planting and establishing local churches.
