Baptism Pictures!

Five people in the CBC family were baptized in Clinton Lake on Sunday, July 27.

We started with a great pot-luck picnic lunch together then we all made our way down to the crowded Bloomington Beach.

Pastor LePage explained that baptism doesn’t save anyone, but is a demonstration of faith. An identification with Jesus Christ and His death and resurrection. It is a public commitment on the part of those being baptized that the old person has died and the new person–the one who desires to live for Christ–now lives.

We then baptized the five in alphabetical order: Gabriel Chenault, Abigail LePage, Hannah LePage, Helena Masson and Ken Warren.

It was a great celebration and a very public demonstration of what has happened in the privacy of each of their hearts.

If you would like to know more about identifying yourself with Jesus Christ and the meaning and purpose of baptism, we invite you to listen to Pastor LePage’s sermon “The Visual Gospel” on the CBC Podcast or you can contact Pastor LePage directly.
