The Women’s Ministry Fellowship is tonight (April 24) at Veritas Christian School’s annual convocation. It starts at 7 p.m., at the Holidome in Lawrence. It is a free event and husbands are welcome too. The speaker will be Gracia Burnham. She and her husband were missionaries in the Philippines for 17 years. They were kidnapped and held hostage for a year by a group of militant Muslims. In 2002, Gracia’s husband was killed. Gracia was wounded, but set free.
