Community Groups studying First Principles
By Shaun LePage • Mar 7th, 2008 • Category: News & EventsOur Community Groups are currently working through BILD International’s First Principles Series. This is a w
onderful tool for both new and seasoned believers. We will all benefit from its clear teaching.
Rather than the typical fill-in-the blank approach used by many Bible study tools, the series employs a highly effective study method using readings, personal reflection, group interaction, and projects.
The fact is, many Christians (even those who have been Christians for a long time) have gaps in their understanding of the foundational teachings of Christ and His apostles. The First Principles Series systematically teaches core principles, leading participants to firmly establish their faith and go on to deeper commitment. It teaches Christians how to think more Biblically and therefore how to grow in wisdom, not just head knowledge. Head knowledge is vital to the Christian faith, but wisdom is that quality that makes it possible for us to deal with life’s problems and challenges in a Biblical fashion. It is what makes it possible for us to relate to other people in a Christlike manner.
We encourage you to pray for all CBC members (both present and future) who will benefit from this adventure by becoming active participants in one of our Community Groups over the next several years.
