Does the Bible Answer Man have the right answers?

Hank Hanegraaff has caused quite a stir with his book The Apocalypse Code. Hanegraaff has recently said, “Most of what you’ve heard, read or been told about the End Times is wrong. We have come to accept a wide range of beliefs and teachings about the future, about the ultimate battle between good and evil, about the last days, and about how our world will end. And most of these beliefs and teachings are based on fundamental misinterpretations of what the scriptures really say about the end times.” The Apocalypse Code (according to the publishers) “helps readers understand what the Bible really says about End Times…”
Those are some pretty amazing claims, don’t you think? But, does The Bible Answer Man (as he is known to millions of radio listeners) have the right answers this time? Hanegraaff has had a great ministry for many years and has helped many people find the right answers, but the great apologist Norm Geisler says The Apocalypse Code “is based on an allegorical method of interpreting prophetic Scripture that, if applied to other teachings of Scripture, would undermine the salvation essentials of the Christian Faith.”
In other words, this discussion is important because it gets to the heart of how we should interpret the Bible, whether we’re talking about prophecy or the Person of Christ or salvation.
If you’ve read The Apocalypse Code or plan to read it, you also need to take a look at Dr. Norm Geisler’s on-line article: Review of Hank Hanegraaff’s Book The Apocalypse Code.
